ScheduleA typical day: Utility drivers are the back up drivers for all routes and need to be prepared to run any route needed on all delivery days. Utility drivers cover all the route drivers and Hostler driver vacations / sick days as needed. All routes have starting times as early as 23:00 / midnight, ranging to 04:00. Utlity drivers are scheduled to either cover a route or to be at the facility in the morning available to cover a route. If no routes need to be covered they assit the driver Manager as needed with shuttling trucks / trailers or other minor maintenance duties.

Good to know

Home most every night. When peak season begins, usually in October or November, flexibility will be required. Drivers may need to run routes that they normally do not to help out others on the team who may be short on hours.

Keep in mind: If they are unsafe, late to work, late for deliveries, untrustworthy, undependable and/or a bad attitude. On this account, on-time delivery is mandatory and there is only a 15 minute window.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
6+ months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
At least 21 years old
Current DOT medical card and a clean drug screen
Driving record: no more than 2 in the past 3 years
