What comes out of the settlement
- Trailer rent (53 ft dry van, maintenance included): $310 a week
- Cargo and liability insurance: $280 a week
- Physical damage insurance: $165 a week
- ELD, PrePass and dual-facing camera: $30 to $55 a week
- Maintenance: 18 cents per mile
- Truck registration: $2,100, paid as $210 a week for 10 weeks
- 2290 highway tax: $600, paid over 5 weeks
- Occupational insurance: $165 a month
- Escrow: $2,500, paid as $250 a week for 10 weeks. Returned after 45 days if you give 2 weeks notice and return the equipment
- Tolls only if you use the company toll tag. Fuel is deducted at cost
- Accidents: case by case. If you are at fault, the insurance deductible is $2,500
- Hotel and drug test at orientation are paid by Zenith. Travel to orientation is paid by Zenith and deducted from lease drivers

Your first 2 days
- 1Day 1: drug test, road test and paperworkUrine drug test, road test with pre-trip inspection, and onboarding paperwork.

- 3Day 2: orientationSafety, systems and dispatch. Once the drug test clears you can be assigned a truck and a load.
- 4Hit the roadDrivers must be willing to take the truck that is available when orientation ends.

Bonuses
- Referral bonus: $300 for a company or lease driver
- Extra stop $25, detention $20 an hour after 2 hours, layover $150 (company driver rates; ask the recruiter how they apply to lease)
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- 2 years of verifiable, recent OTR tractor-trailer experience in your job history
- Road test and pre-trip inspection at orientation
- A good driving record. A few violations are reviewed case by case; no DUI or DWI
- Urine drug test. SAP drivers are accepted
- No criminal background check
- No non-domiciled CDLs. Proof of legal work status (I-9) is required
