Here is a question drivers rarely ask, and should: who pays the recruiter?
The usual answer
Carriers pay. Most driver recruiting is free to drivers because carriers pay recruiting companies a fee when a driver they referred is hired and starts work. Some pay more if the driver stays for a certain time.
Why it matters to you
A recruiter paid only for a "start" has a reason to get you to orientation, even if the job is not a fit. A recruiter whose pay depends on you staying has a reason to get the match right.
How we work
- We never charge drivers. Not for applications, not for anything.
- Carriers pay us when a driver we introduced is hired, and in some cases after the driver stays.
- We only recommend jobs where your record fits the carrier's rules, because sending you to a job you will not get, or will not keep, costs everyone.
- We tell you which carrier before you apply. You apply directly with them.
What to ask any recruiter
- Who pays you, and when?
- Do you work with several carriers or just one?
- What happens if the job is not what you described?
An honest recruiter answers all three without flinching.
