3. No-touch freight
After 20 years on the road, nobody wants to hand-unload 40,000 pounds. 558 jobs in our database have no touch freight.
4. Steady miles
A high rate means nothing if the truck sits. Ask: "What did your drivers average in miles over the last 3 months?"
5. A good truck
Newer equipment, automatic transmission, APU and an inverter. Ask how old the trucks are and whether you get your own truck or slip seat.
6. Being treated like a person
A dispatcher who answers the phone, a company that pays detention and parking, and a recruiter who calls back after orientation.
